Oh man, my weekend was busy. I dressed up and also had naked party times (aka went to a public bath/onsen thing), but the real point of this post:

For some reason, it's Final Fantasy VI music more than anything else that makes me nostalgic like hell. FFVII music sometimes does it too, but FFVI even more so. I'm not quite sure why since I was introduced to both in the same stage of my childhood, but if a song from it (or a remix) comes up on my playlist suddenly I'm all natsukashii. It's weird because it's a very bittersweet feeling.

I don't really know why I felt the need to post about this, but it probably had something to do with avoiding homework which really needs to be done. My hours of sleep are just dwindling away...

So... they're making a Denzel (from Advent Children) anime? Seriously? They could have made an anime about... so many other, better things.

Also, a bought a jacket today! I'm pretty fond of it. Things are stressful but I'm doing my best to keep a positive attitude. ♥ I hope everyone on my flist is doing well!

I was pretty damn productive today. I went to the library, which I never do, and realized that it actually is kind of fun to go searching out books and stuff. I went to get some resources for a paper for my Irish Lit class. I didn't find anything that great, but I checked out a few things just to show my professor that I did make the effort to go there, since he was emphasizing that when he gave us the prompt.

I also did my reading and then finished the draft for my Japanese presentation, and have been keeping up with RP posts. (Haven't been able to stalk threads nearly as much as I'd like to, though.) So yes, in full demon form today, which means that once I'm done with this post I can continue with case five of Trials and Tribulations with zero guilt!

Oh, and I should mention that last night me and my roommate eavesdropped on these two guys having a full-blown lover's quarrel. They were outside and even though my room is upstairs and the window was closed, we could hear them really well. We, uhh, peeked through the blinds, too. It was very intense and kind of exciting to observe, but I hope the two of them work things out, even though they're complete strangers to me. So yeah, that was the most interesting part of my week, other than the money fraud thing.

Okay, and in fandom news, I have a confession to make:

I... kind of want to play Crisis Core.

IT'S JUST THAT pretty much everyone I know who has played it has liked it, and that's including people who are way into original game canon and have a deep hate for the Compilation. I've had such mixed feelings about the game, mainly because of my history with Zack as a character. This urge to play it has gotten me thinking about all of that again.

I ramble about Zack now. )

If I had access to a PSP, I think I would give it a shot. Because if I ever do want to RP or write Zack again, I would have to take Crisis Core into account, I think. I mean, considering how little information there is on him otherwise, I don't think that I could get away with that. I wouldn't feel right doing it, if that makes sense.

GOD, I'VE WRITTEN WAY TOO MUCH ABOUT THIS. Anyway, my friend has a PSP and the game, and she might be willing to let me borrow it. I'm not 100% sure, but now I'm just wondering if I should give it a chance or not. THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE KNOWN ME FOR A WHILE WILL UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS KIND OF A BIG DEAL FOR ME, ahhhh.

Okay, I'm done. Really. If anyone read all of that, I commend you. And I'd really like to hear people's thoughts, especially those of you who've played the game and... know of my history with Zack. :3

I voted today! This was exciting. And I put my "I Voted" sticker next to my "Vote Petrelli" sticker on my mini fridge.

I had to go to the financial aid office today and the people there were really nice. ;__; It made me happy.

Re House: that may have been the gayest episode of all, and that's saying something. Holy crap.

Anyway, more meme:

Name seven of your RP characters.
1. Roy Mustang (Fullmetal Alchemist)
2. Sora (Kingdom Hearts)
3. Guy Cecil (Tales of the Abyss)
4. Raiden (Metal Gear Solid)
5. Peter Petrelli (Heroes)
6. Zack (Final Fantasy VII)
7. Midvalley the Hornfreak (Trigun Maximum)

Answer these questions. )

I've decided to give in and make a [info]damned friends filter. People who are in the game go in it, of course, though if anyone who isn't in the game wants on the filter (for some reason...?), let me know.

Questions and answers from it, with the names filled in! )

And that's that. I got tagged for another meme by [info]the_demon_yuber, so here goes. I've done this one before, so I'm going to try to think of ones I didn't do last time.

Each blogger starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

* Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
* At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.

1. I shower at night. I've pretty much always done this because I like to go to sleep clean, but the more shameful reason is because waking up early to shower just isn't happening. I will do whatever I can to get myself more sleep. And yet I end up staying up later than I should, anyway.

2. I'm really meticulous about planning out my homework. Most of my work is reading assignments, so I figure out how many days I have to read X amount of pages, and then do the math. It means I do homework every day (even Fridays, boo), but it's a better setup in the long run, I think. I'll even do this with writing papers (tell myself I need to write however many pages a day, etc.) This really only started in college, though.

3. I drink a lot of Coca-Cola. Like, a lot. It's kind of scary. I've been doing my best to drink more water and tend to take bottles of it with me to class, but I pretty much drink Coke with every meal. Err, well, not breakfast, but that's because I don't eat breakfast. (That goes along with the whole getting-as-much-sleep-as-I-can thing.)

4. I move a lot in my sleep. I have to take my roommate's word on this one, but the fact that my covers are always in different states of disarray in the morning makes it pretty believable. I'll scrunch up into corners, move my covers around weirdly, etc. When I was younger I used to punch people in my sleep. (Ask [info]bleupanpan, and probably [info]nanceinsnow too. 8D)

5. Sometimes I'll make up random songs about random things and sing them at my friends (only the people who know me really well and will tolerate my insanity). Not, like... long, well-thought out songs, but just a few words sung over and over again. I could give examples, but it'd be kind of embarrassing.

6. I hate leaving things unfinished, be it schoolwork, a video game I'm working on (of which there are so many now, auuugh, Persona 3), a fanfiction I'm working on (Last Words, I will get back to you :|), etc. This is why, sometimes, when I get enough into a game, I can't stop playing it at every moment possible until it's done. Same with writing a fic or whatever.

7. I used to (when I was first starting out on LJ) look at other people's LJ entries by going down my list of friends and looking at each person's journal individually. This obviously took way more time than just looking at my flist would have, but... I think I didn't really know how that worked. Liz bugged me and bugged me about it until I figured it out and... haha, yeah, feel kind of idiotic about that now. (I can be kind of stubborn about stuff like that sometimes.)

8. I played soccer through AYSO for... four or five years? One of those years, my team was really good and we won our... division or whatever? We lost at area (is that what the next one is? I can't remember), but I still got a big trophy out of it. Another year my team sucked and I think we lost every game, except for maybe one? I played goalie for a while, but then I got really sick of it and stressed out by it, so I played left halfback, and then left forward. Coaches were pleased by the fact that I could kick with my left foot. :D I stopped after freshman year of high school because it was too time-consuming. And I'm lazy. :\

OH, and I'm not tagging. 8D Do it if you want?
