Sometimes lists are just the way to go.

1) Despite my best efforts, I have managed to catch the illness that has been circling through my apartment. It started with my roommate, moved over to my other two housemates, and then ended with me. All of us are under the weather now, so it's a real party. Except that it rained today and so I had to go out and get wet while I was already feeling off. But I managed. Let's just hope the weather improves. (Seriously, California has been so wet recently. It's kind of nuts.)

2) This bit of video game news pretty much made my week! Actually, while it does sound awesome, I have my reservations, purely because Sega has been putting out crappy Sonic games for a while now. And this is going back to the basics, which is what I've always wanted them to do, but... I just don't want to get my hopes up, since they could easily break my heart. It's something I'm looking forward to, though.

3) I got one of those ask-me-a-random-question formspring things. I am right over here. Will probably toss that link up into my LJ userinfo, too. You can ask anonymously if you want, so if you ever have a random question for me, there's a simple way to do it without feeling awkward. Seriously, even if it's something really basic like "How old are you?" and you just happen to not know, feel free to ask.

I HAVE INTERNET AGAIN. \o/!!!!!!

My computer is wiped cleaaaan, so weird. It also has all these programs on it that I don't really want, so I need to go through and uninstall those. I downloaded Avast! first thing since I don't want that to happen again, and... yeah. I'm running Google Chrome as a browser right now since that's what it came with, and it's weird. Will probably have to get Firefox soon since I don't think Chrome supports LJ Login, fff.

But yes, I should be around from now on, whew. This is going to feel really weird until I have all of my stuff back. BAW, POOR LAPTOP, YOU GOT GUTTED. :(

Days update: The bosses are kind of annoying, aren't they? I ended up giving up on beating the Halloween Town one last night. I know how to do it, it's just a matter of having patience. But I'm on Day 257 or something so I've been making progress.

Now to go catch up on everything and work on an essay, boo. But I have the day off tomorrow so that's fun!

Oh, and Heroes last night was loooovely. I'm so psyched for next week! And I have to pimp this gif from last night just 'cause I can.

VICTORY!!!

Yes, that is me and my friends at the top of Mt. Fuji. \o/ I am the one in the red sweater, in case you didn't know. Pardon me looking like crap -- I had just climbed a mountain, after all. Overall, it was very difficult and painful, but I'm glad that I did it! I mean, I just gained like... a bazillion badass points, right? And that's probably one of the crazier things I've ever done. It was quite the experience, so I'll give a recap (with a few more pictures) under the cut.

Tomorrow will be spent packing, maybe souvenir shopping, and then going to my class party.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I successfully obtained a PSP! It is red and amazing and I can't want to get games for it.

Speaking of which, I played a ton of Pokemon on the trains during the trip. Finally got back to my Pearl game, and it was a lot of fun. The sad thing is that I spent all that time leveling up. I finally decided that I want one Pokemon of each element/type to be up to level, although some Pokemon cover two categories (my Monferno is Fighting and Fire time, for instance). Anyway, going to be playing the shit out of that on the flight home.

As promised, here is the announcement that I am in Japan safely and stuff! I'm in a random hotel in Kyoto, and I'll be moved into my apartment by tomorrow night. Some more explanation and pictures should be coming soon (probably going to make a journal dedicated to my trip abroad), once I'm not dead after that flight. I don't even want to think about how long I've been awake and how little sleep I'm running on.

Oh man, it is snowing here and stuff. (Well, not this second, but it was earlier.) I AM SO NOT USED TO THIS. I'm going to take tons of pictures.

Not sure when we're going to ski, but we've got a week here so it's no real rush. But the place we're staying is super nice and the fact that I look out of the window and see WHITE EVERYWHERE is just novel for me. Shhh.

I think we're going to go out and take a walk in it soon. I'm all bundled up and stuff. Erin and I played Brawl earlier, pfft. And we actually got up at a reasonable hour today, but that's because we were wiped last night.

BUT WHEE, SNOW. :D :D It makes me feel like a little kid again.

I got accepted to the study abroad program!

Yeah, so unless something goes terribly wrong, I'll be studying in Japan during spring and part of summer of next year. I'm going to be going to Doshisha University in Kyoto. Victoria, my bud from Japanese class, also got in, so we'll be able to cling to each other while we adjust there.

People who are going to be in Japan at that time: we should organize meet-ups! I know it's a long time from now, but yeah. 8D

I PASSED MY DRIVER'S TEST.

So happy right now. ♥ I had eight errors (you can have up to fifteen), and most of it was due to being overly cautious and such. I managed to keep my cool pretty well. I didn't get much sleep at all last night due to worry and my cold making it so that I couldn't breathe, and then I was all sweaty and gross when I woke up this morning, but I passed so none of that really matters. :D

Finally, right? Nineteen isn't too late to be getting it, though. I'm just so relieved that I was able to pass on the first try.

It's also my dad's birthday today, so we're going out to dinner later tonight. Until then, I'm going to take it easy and try to just vegetate here. Blegh, why did I have to get sick over break?
